News from Chirales

News from Chirales December 4th 2007

This project was put forward following a visit to Romania by Peter Gingell, Joan White and Alan Buckett in June 2007. Work was underway in July although we were still short of the amount needed to complete the project and even though two Romanian churches had also contributed to the costs.
The house at Chirales is finished and the celebration of its completion was lead by Pastor Costel from Beclean 
 
This is a new home for Gabriel, Lacrimioara and their daughter Denisa who have one room and in the other room live Ionel, Ramona and their daughter Roxana.

Marin and Floria are the couple living in the house in this picture – they also own the land. They have no children of their own but they took in a lot of children with no parents or homes and they used to care for them. They love children very much.

 Lacrimioara was abandoned when she was 3 months old in hospital. Floria took her in and raised her and she is now married to Gabriel. Gabriel became a Christian first and then Lacrimioara. They lived with many other people in Marin and Floria’s house but when they had their daughter Denisa, someone let them have this old room.

Ionel’s father is blind and also sick, living in a hospital for a long time. Ionel is also unwell – he is diabetic and has insulin daily. Ramona came from a big family with 10 children and she has a daughter Roxana. Marin and Floria brought them to live at Chirales where she became a Christian and a few weeks ago she and Ionel were married.
