Why do Baptism?
We do baptism because it says so in the Bible. Also Jesus was baptised by full immersion and we follow his example by doing the same.
Why full immersion?
It signifies that when you go under the water, your old life is dead and buried, because Christ has forgiven all the wrong things you have done in the past. When you are raised out of the water it signifies that you are a new person in Christ. That the old life has gone away and a new one exists.
In the warmer months, all our baptisms are done in the sea. We believe that baptism is also a statement of a person's decision to follow Christ. It therefore follows that we are public about what we do, and why we do it.
