The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over eleven, thought-provoking weekly sessions on a Sunday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
There is also an introductory session to kick things off.
It's low key, friendly and fun. And it's supported by all the main Christian denominations.
You're not on your own either. More than 8 million people world-wide have found it a worthwhile experience.
In short, Alpha is for:
Anyone interested in the finding out more about the Christian faith. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
Learning and laughter. We believe (and have proved!) that it is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. The course is a great opportunity to make new friends as you explore together the claims of Jesus.
Helping one anther. The small groups give everyone a chance to voice their queries.
Asking anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

What's Involved?
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?".
There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other. After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything.
Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
