Hey, what's all this evil hate filled rubbish in the bible that we choose to ignore...read deuteronomy..full of 'god' ordering death and destruction...and genesis which advocates human sacrifice...

Interesting newspaper article. Not sure if airing your "dirty washing" in public is such a good advert for your church! Lets hope (and pray) that this overwhelming love you speak of is strong enough to deal with this.

I detect a little cynicism (get me a dictionary...) in your tone - forgive me if I'm wrong. God's great at 'dealing' with things like this... I, for one believe that many will find God in our town over the next few weeks/months so if you are sincerely going to be praying for us... please pray for this.

What do you mean? At least put your name so we know where you're coming from...

We do not claim to be perfect but we do believe that our God is about transforming us messed up people into a community of love. When things go wrong it is how we handle it that counts - are we seeking to love, forgive and bless each other? That is the challenge - not looking to blame others and putting people down. Judge us by how we respond to bad things as things will go wrong from time to time when imperfect people come together.

Hi everyone
I took my lovely Wife Anita and my two beautiful Daughter's Antonia and Maria over to TEC last Sunday and it was just the Oasis we needed. We found the folks very warm and welcoming and the worship was tastefully honouring to our wonderful God. The preaching was challenging and encouraging too. Afterwards we stayed for coffee and met some old friends e.g. Dave, Shirley and Matt Haynes, Linder and Ray Berry, Trevor, as well as dear Chris the beloved Pastor, who blessed me enourmously, other friends were there too, who had come from New Life, where I had been for some years under dear Ben White, it was beautiful morning and I praise God that He hasn't abandoned His Church in the 21st century, as unfortunately in my 32 years of Christian experience, the Church (Mostly Charismatic) appears to be abandoning Him and running after prophetic men and mystical experiences. Keep it up Chris, your fellowship is a haven of hope for so many in Whitstable/Tankerton.

All our love in Jesus

Dear friends. Please pray for our nine-year-old ministry (started in 2001) -- www.tjlit.org (Testifying Jesus’ Love in Truth).
We make free resumes, teach free English weekly, and do free translations/interpretations in 17 languages to any church or organization that asks us to. We also give out 3000 tracts each week, and we get people who are abused, have mental illness and other problems into churches and places where they can receive help, as well as getting kids into free dentists.
We love the Lord, and love the ministry he has blessed us with. We are deeply committed to fighting racism and poverty.
Please send us your prayer requests (Email: reachus@tjlit.org.), and pass our site to friends, missionaries and family, as there are many who are lonely; and, we are thrilled when Christians connect. As the world becomes more hostile towards Christians; it is essential that we connect.
At the moment we are trying to set up a pen pal club so people from all over can write to others and develop friendships.
Nobody should be lonely. If you read this and are lonely, please contact us and we will do our best to get you into a good church wherever you are in the world.
Please also click on and read the Bible verse of the day, and say a prayer for us. Also, please send us words of encouragement.
Is there anyway we can help you? Please contact us – especially if you are lonely. God bless you.

To our American friends: Please read article 51 on our site “Things I love about America.”
PS. Sorry to the person whose guestbook we have just signed. If we have taken up a lot of space and not commented, again, sorry. The fact that we have left a message is proof, in our opinion, that you are good. God bless you. Ian.
