The Morning Star Trust
The Morning Star Trust is an adventure sailing organisation based in Chatham Historic Dockyard on the river Medway in Kent. Its aim is to provide everyone with the opportunity to experience the challenge and fulfilment of sailing at sea. All this is done within a safe and positive environment under the watchful eye of our sailing leadership team.
Its intention is to give individuals the freedom to realise their potential and develop their characters in a unique atmosphere away from the pressures of everyday life.
They have two fabulous yachts for you to choose from: Morning Star of Revelation (62ft Gaff Ketch) Dayspring (36ft Bermudan Sloop) The new 2009 programme offers adventure sailing trips as well as practical training courses, ranging from Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Competent Crew to Coastal Skipper.
Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced sailor, Morning Star Trust welcomes you aboard. Please note that the minimum age is 15.
Choose from the programme of activities for individuals and join others to form a crew aboard Morning Star of Revelation or Dayspring, or book as a group by requesting any free calendar space not already taken up by the programmed activities.
If you are interested in organising a group to come on board, Morning Star of Revelation or Dayspring can be booked for any length of time (programmed activities permitting). Trips can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your group. Although the prices are discounted for young people between the ages of 15 and 25, they encourage older groups as well.
Morning Star of Revelation also provides a unique and effective platform for corporate training and they welcome any enquiries relating to management development or team away days.
The team that runs Morning Star Trust and the leaders who sail are all Christians. They have established a custom of sharing a brief thought for the day each day aboard our boats which is often taken from, or based on, the Bible. As Christians they are always happy to talk about their faith but will never push our beliefs on anyone.
So if you like the idea of learning a new hobby or the challange of getting away from it all among my people in a unique atmosphere or just fancy a "Dad's and Lad's" retreat then why not visit the website to find out more. |
